These earrings are made from real parakeet eggs that has been emptied, filled with epoxy and then dyed in the pysanky (Ukrainian) tradition. I use a tool called a kistka to write on the egg with melted wax, which resists the dyes. When the design is done, the wax is melted off. I then apply coats of a UV resistant epoxy, making them durable.
